SCHOOL AND YOUTH PROGRAMS

We offer a variety of programs for school and club groups ages 8+. These programs foster a connection to and provide a greater understanding of our animals and their environment, through exploratory educational experiences, visits with our animal farm residents, and age-appropriate team activities led by our qualified instructors and staff. Sample curriculum elements include egg science with our flock of chickens, horse and farm animal anatomy, plant science, and basic horsemanship. Wondering what else we can offer? Ask us - our curriculum can be tailored to accommodate themes and activities specific to your club, class, or organization.

Current specific offerings include field trips, seasonal school break camps, and half day educational camps. Prices vary based on group size, session length, and curriculum.

GIRL SCOUT PROGRAMS

Ready to saddle up and earn your Junior Horseback Riding Badge? Our Girl Scout Program introduces scouts to the amazing world of horses, and the responsibilities involved in caring for these beautiful animals.

We offer half-day programs to Girl Scout troops ages 8+ covering all the elements of the badge, including daily care, nutrition, horse behavior, grooming, tack and equipment, and foundational riding skills. Troops will work with our qualified instructors and barn staff to check off the five required steps to earn their badge (badges included in the Girl Scout Program package).

Badge programs are $150/scout and can be completed in one day, or split across two sessions. Inquire here for opportunities.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS

Do you love to spend time around animals, want to be a horse owner, or want to develop responsibility and leadership skills? We offer two internship programs – an arena internship and a barn internship. Our Arena Internship is offered for current intermediate and advanced students aged 13+ who want to learn to support our instructors. Availability varies according to the riding school schedule.

Our Barn Internship is open to all animal lovers ages 9+, who want to help care for and learn about our animals. We ask for at least a three-month commitment to one weekly session (offered Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am to 12:30 pm) for all new barn internship program participants. Barn interns spend two hours assisting barn staff with animal care chores, and one hour participating in staff-led animal-centric activities.

FARM TOURS

Come visit Holly Farm, our historic horse and husbandry farm located in Bothell, just 20 miles north of Seattle! Our tours will include an introduction to our animal farm residents (including miniature donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, a llama, and more), meet a few of our friendly horses, learn about how we care for our animals, and see what day-to-day life looks like at the farm. Each tour is led by one of our qualified staff members who will make sure that there is plenty of time to ask questions, make new furry friends, and take photos along the way.

We offer walking tours by appointment-only, perfect for ages 2 and older. Each tour is approximately one hour and requires walking over some uneven ground. Groups of up to 10 people start at $125/tour; groups of 11 – 15 people start at $155/tour.
